#156 It's okay to have doubts...as long as you don't believe me.

When you are trying to do something special, you will always have doubts.  I do on a regular basis, but this is normal.  If you are a creative soul, or an athelete or anything where your goal is to prove yourself and your abilities you will always have doubts.

Some people will tell you to never doubt yourself.  This is a good mantra for some, but everyone isn't built that way so this is written for those that don't have the mental fortitude to not doubt themselves.

It's okay to have doubts. It means you are human.  Doubt is normal no matter what you do.  Being a creator the strength of your work is determined by how many people approve of it, and when they don't, it leads to a lot of doubt.

Don't worry this is perfectly normal.  It's okay to have doubts.  A lot of our doubts are grounded in the reality of our situation.  We don't doubt because we don't believe; we doubt because we are unsure.  We don't see the fruits of our efforts paying off.  Let me not say we don't doubt because we don't believe because that IS the case for some, but even that is normal.

When you doubt, it can be crippling because you don't know if you can...you don't know if you are able or capable, but fear not.  All doubts can be overcome as long as you keep one thing in mind.

Doubt is only damaging when you succumb to it. When you believe in the doubt which is usually the opposite of the truth.

If you always keep in mind that you can do what it is you set out to do, you will always have it within you to overcome doubt.  Your belief has to be stronger than your doubt.  It has to be ingrained in you, and rooted deeper than the surface of your doubt.  Your foundation has to be paved with the concrete of your belief, so that doubt will be like rain.

Rain will cover the concrete but it will not breakthrough.

Having doubts is normal and never feel bad because you have them.  Accept that doubts are a normal part of the process.  Remember that your doubts are never stronger than the desire that created them.
