Carving A Path To Success Pt.41 (Me, AP and Movies))

If you didn't know, Antarctic Press is my favorite comic book company. Over the years I have become friends with some of the people that work for them. So this is really me speaking from the heart and out of concern for the company and my friends.

AP needs a movie.

Over the years many comic book companies have produced movies based on their IP's.

Marvel of course has Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Ironman, The Hulk.

DC has Superman, Batman, and a few others

Image has Spawn as well as a few cartoons based on their properties.

Darkhorse has Barbwire, 300, The Mask, Sin City and a few others.

I have been kind of upset about the fact that AP has none. While AP has Fred Perry's Gold Digger OAV, it doesn't have much else.

I've long since realized that movies are an excellent way for a company to increase interest in the comics. It's been a tactic used by the big two (Marvel and Dc for years) as well as the other two companies that have become quite large over the years (Image and Darkhorse) Ap has been around for years and have yet to produce a movie. Ap has as much awesome intellectual property as any of these other companies. They have years of interesting characters, great stories and well they need a movie or cartoon series.

I'm afraid that many will not know the joy of AP comics and their wealth of comics and history. A movie or an animated series would be the perfect opportunity to share AP with the rest of the world.
