#110 Eiko is live. What's Next?

Yes, dear friends and readers, Eiko is now live for sale on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in Kindle and Nook format.  I will post the links below.

It's hard to believe that the first leg of my path is complete.  It's been like running a triathlon and you are only at the first part of the race.  Now comes the section where I have to swim.  Eiko is out and available for purchase, but that doesn't mean it's over for me.  It doesn't mean I can sit back and drink Maitai's under a palm tree on some beach.  My work is just beginning.  I've achieved one of my goals, which was listed under this blogs title heading.  That goal was to become a professional writer.

Story Concept by me...
My first commercial work
"FROM A WORDSMYTHE TO THE EARS OF THOSE WHO WISH TO LISTEN. I AM INCORPORATING A SET OF NOTES THAT STARTED IN MY FACEBOOK PAGE AND CONTINUING ON WITH MY OWN PERSONAL BLOG. THE NOTES DEAL WITH THE STRUGGLES OF WRITING AND CREATING SOMETHING NEW IN LITERARY, COMIC BOOK, AND FILM. IT IS MY GOAL TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL WRITER, AND I WANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES WITH YOU."

That goal has been accomplished not once, but twice thanks to my friends over at Antarctic Press, and Ed Gray at Graybooks LLC.  They believed in me enough to give me a chance, and that is not something that I take lightly.  I still have not optioned a screenplay, but that is only a matter of time.  So now that I have reached this new level.  It's time to focus on my next goal.  Becoming wealthy from my endeavors.  I do this not because I seek fortune and fame, but simply because I want to live a comfortable life, doing what I love.  The hard work will continue in all avenues, simply because I cannot relax.  Attaining fame and fortune is hard work, but the pay off will be worth it.  It won't be easy to do, and I have no illusions about the task in front of me, but I am now prepared.  I have increased my leverage, which was always a part of my master plan.

Quick note about said master plan.

When you have nothing to offer people, nothing tangible then they are less likely to give you a chance to prove yourself.  Once you can prove you are legitimate and have produced something that can be viewed, read, watched or played, then people are more likely to give you a chance.  That's why they hold auditions for acting and singing, that's why jobs want applications and resumes.  They want proof that you have the skill-set to succeed at the given task.  As a writer it is always hard to prove that you are what you say you are.  Anyone can say they are a writer, but often times that isn't enough.  People want to know what you have written, what you have produced and that's just to get a pinkie toe in the door.  My master plan was always about increasing my leverage so I could get my whole foot in.  It's a long term master plan and requires a lot of patience, almost Buddha like patience.  Still to have gotten this far using only my ability to network and my ability as a creative soul is a testament to my will and perseverance.  I simply will not give in.  Not until my plan comes to fruition.

It is also key to remember that my goals are not for selfish desires.  They are for these three, four if you count my step daughter Laya'

This is the three of them about four years ago.  They are older now, and well simply, girls need stuff.  My oldest (pictured right) has a talent for writing as well.  Apple doesn't fall to far...

So what's next?

Simple.  Keep writing, and keep pushing to bring wealth and a comfortable lifestyle to my children, family and friends.

So in closing, I have a long way to go, but I'm too stubborn not to get there.
